ICAI 2025: Keynote by Daniel Ossmann on Fault Detection
How can complex systems be monitored more reliably in the future? This question was at the center of the keynote delivered by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Daniel Ossmann from IMM at the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Information (ICAI2025).
From September 26 to 30, 2025, around 800 experts from academia, industry, and politics gathered at Xidian University in Xi’An, China. The conference is regarded as one of the most important meeting points for exchanging the latest developments in artificial intelligence and digital technologies.
In his talk, “Rethinking Fault Detection: Toward Hybrid Monitoring Architectures,” Prof. Ossmann demonstrated how hybrid monitoring architectures can revolutionize fault detection—an issue of great relevance for industries ranging from aerospace to energy. His approach sparked strong interest and opened new perspectives for international cooperation between research and industry.
Under the theme “Interdisciplinary Integration, Intelligent Iteration,” ICAI2025 provided a platform for ideas, innovation, and dialogue between academic research and industrial practice.
