Research on GPS spoofing detection at ECC25
GPS signals are vital for aircraft navigation, yet vulnerable to manipulation. At the European Control Conference 2025 in Thessaloniki, IMM doctoral researcher Benedikt Adolph presented a novel approach to detect GPS spoofing and enhance safety in the era of urban air mobility.
IMM plays key role in HM’s new Doctoral Research Center
The Munich University of Applied Sciences is strengthening its mobility research with the new Doctoral Research Center for Integrated Mobility (PRIM). With strong involvement from the IMM, the center will independently supervise doctoral candidates and award the Dr.-Ing. degree. Researchers are developing innovative solutions across diverse fields from autonomous driving and aviation to electric mobility.

IMM welcomes control engineering expert Prof. Dr.-Ing. Manuel Pusch as a new member
The IMM-Institute Council voted on January 20, 2025, to admit Prof. Dr.-Ing. Manuel Pusch as a new member. Prof. Pusch focuses on the modeling, control, and optimization of wind turbines, aerospace systems, and flexible structures. His theoretical interests include robust performance analysis, decoupling strategies, and model order reduction.
IMM-PhD Candidates at AIAA SciTech 2025 in Orlando
PhD candidates from the IMM Institute presented their research on AI-based wind forecasting, drone control, gust load mitigation and system identification at the AIAA SciTech 2025. The international conference provided valuable opportunities for exchange in aerospace research. A highlight was the rocket launch at Cape Canaveral.
